Hotel Information
We have
arranged special conference rates at the
following 5 hotels which are either within
walking distance of the conference centre or one
subway stop away. Brussels is a popular tourist
and business center and the conference will be
held in a very central area of the city. Rates
at the various hotels vary and are applicable
only for certain days in three of the hotels.
When reserving at the five hotels listed below
ask for the ICSA (International Cultic
Studies Association) rate.
These special
rates apply only until the dates indicated.
Therefore, take note of this and reserve
early.
NOTE:
Hotel rates in Brussels can vary considerably
between weekends and weekdays. Make sure you
know the rate for each day of your stay.

A colleague in
Brussels has offered the following additional
suggestions regarding hotels:
A useful Web
site for
hotel bookings in Brussels:
All the hotels
on this site offer maps. People can book in the
historic centre, provided the hotel is not too
far from the Central Station. I would recommend
that they stick to the 1000 Brussels zone. In
this area you can find very expensive hotels and
also less expensive ones. However, these are
very sought after as they are near the Grand
Place, so book early.
The nearest
hotels to the University Foundation are:
The Brussels
Hilton
Sofitel
Toison d’Or
Others to
consider (can be found through hotel bookings
link above):
Novotel Brussels Off Grand Place

If people
want to stay in the European side of Brussels,
they will also find hotels of all sorts on the
link. These hotels are a little farther, but the
metro is near enough.
