Amy J. L. Baker has a Ph.D. in
developmental psychology from Teachers College
of Columbia University. She has expertise in
parental alienation, attachment theory, parent
involvement in their children's education, and
child welfare. She is the author or co-author of
three books and over 45 scholarly articles. She
is the director of research at the Vincent J.
Fontana Center for Child Protection of the New
