Robin A. Boyle, Esq. teaches legal
research and writing at St. John’s University
School of Law. She lectures on topics concerning
cults and the law. Two of her articles have
appeared in Cultic Studies Journal: “Women, the
Law, and Cults: Three Avenues of Legal Recourse
- New Rape Laws, Violence Against Women Act, and
Antistalking Laws” (1999) and “How Children in
Cults May Use Emancipation Laws to Free
