Deana Hall is a Ph.D.

Deana Hall is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sociology and student in the Masters of Business Administration program at the University of Alberta. She currently is specializing in the Sociology of Work, and has taught courses in Sociology of Work, Statistics and Data Analysis, and Research Methods. Her research interests involve the introduction of corporate culture into business organizations and the parallels between corporate culture and other encompassing belief systems, such as those found in alternative religions. In her master's thesis, she examined how the Church of Scientology recruits medical professionals through Management Consulting programs. Her current work examines issues of work and family balance among self-employed women.
