Dr. Bernabé López Garcíais Professor of
Contemporary History of Islam at Autónoma University of Madrid. He is the
Director of the M.Phil. Program of International Mediterranean Studies at the
Arab and Islamic and Oriental studies department. His main research lines focus
on Contemporary History of Islam, Social movements in Arab society; migration;
Euro-Mediterranean relations and electoral processes in the Magreb. He is the
author of many national and international publications
