Zakary L. Tormala, Ph.D.
Zakary L. Tormala, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Psychology at Indiana
University. Dr. Tormala received his Ph.D. from Ohio State in 2003 under the
supervision of Richard E. Petty. His primary areas of research fall within the
domains of attitudes and social cognition. Within these areas, he has conducted
research looking at processes and implications of persuasion and resistance to
persuasion. A great deal of his current work explores the role of metacognition,
which refers to people's perceptions of their own thoughts and thought processes
