He Allegedly Brainwashed Children

A Belgian prosecutor who led the investigation says that Marc Dutroux, accused of kidnapping, imprisoning, and raping six girls, and killing four of them, brainwashed two of the survivors so well that they thought their liberators were part of a gang he said was after them. Jean-Marc Conneroite testified that the girls, then 12 and 14, kissed Dutroux when he led police to the dungeon where he kept them. Some of the witnesses in the case are using the term “network” to imply that Dutroux was part of a pedophile ring. (BBC News, Internet, 3/4/04)
