Cultic Studies Newsletter

ICSA (then American Family Foundation - AFF) produced 5 issues of Cultic Studies Newsletter (CSN), beginning in October 1982. CSN supplemented AFF's news periodical, The Advisor, by publishing professional commentaries and providing information of interest to helping professionals and researchers. CSN was printed with a daisy wheel printer and xeroxed.  CSN was succeeded by Cultic Studies Journal when The Advisor was succeeded by The Cult Observer. The 5 issues of CSN are available in PDF form for those interested in exploring the early history of cultic studies. Some of the articles, such as the tongue-in-cheek essay, "On Dialogue Between The Two Tribes of Cultic Studies Researchers," in Vol, 2, No. 1, presaged disputes and discussions of subsequent years.
