New  Apostolic Reformation and Related Movements

Apporximately half the former group members who  approach ICSA for information or assistance have left what we sometimes call "fringe Christian groups."  Hundreds of such groups have come to our attention.  Many are nondenominational churches, some of which may ostensibly profess orthodox theology, in which a pastor or church leader establishes an inappropriate relationship of control-subservience with one or more members of a congregations. Some churches, however, have an overt authoritarian structure that invites abuse, and some of these advocate dubious variations of Christian doctrine that reject democratic principles.

This collection is focused on the latter type of group, church, or movement. The New Apostolic Reformation encompasses many such churches. Other terms that have been used to categorize seemingly diverse churches include: kingdom theology, dominion theology, and Christian reconstructionism.
